The myriad activities of librarians at satisfying the unique and diverse information needs of library users revolve around the application of proven knowledge; a product of librarians’ contribution to sustaining the efficient practice of the profession. Librarians generate knowledge and ought to be communicated to improve the practices of the profession globally. Knowledge communicated through publications will expose the librarians to the findings and practices that can be implemented to achieve the library’s objectives. Research publications are known to offer solutions to problems surrounding the practices of a profession. Therefore, this study would examine the factors of knowledge management of libraries and draw inferences for librarians’ involvement in research output for global impact.
