Librarians are embracing a renewed mission to safeguard the Earth as they redefine their place in society in response to growing concerns over plastic waste. This work examines the many tactics librarians use to combat plastic pollution, ranging from community engagement and legislative campaigning to outreach programmes and education. This paper explores the creative methods librarians use to promote sustainability, increase awareness, and spark change in their communities, based on case studies and real-world experiences. Librarians are advancing the cause of a better, cleaner environment by going beyond their regular responsibilities and making the most of their special standing as dependable community leaders. To tackle plastic pollution, the study offers a thorough framework for utilising library resources, knowledge, and community ties. This broadens the scope and significance of library services in modern society.
