Climate change presents a profound challenge to the global environment, requiring comprehensive action across various sectors. Libraries, beyond their traditional role as knowledge centers, are now pivotal in promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship. This paper examines how libraries contribute to a sustainable environment by offering access to environmental resources, supporting research, and hosting educational initiatives on climate change. Libraries also adopt eco-friendly practices, such as energy-efficient operations and sustainable material management, to minimize their own environmental impact. Furthermore, as community hubs, libraries facilitate discussions and collaborations on local environmental challenges, empowering communities to engage in sustainable practices. By integrating sustainability into their services, libraries not only enhance public awareness of climate change but also inspire collective action toward a more sustainable future. This study highlights the critical role of libraries as proactive participants in the global effort to combat climate change.
