Building Climate Change Resilient Communities Through Health Education: Collaborative Approaches with Libraries in Nigeria

Climate change poses significant threats to public health, particularly in vulnerable communities lacking education and awareness. This research investigates the public health concerns associated with climate change in communities and explores potential collaborative efforts through health education programmes and library services to build resilient communities. This study employed description and critical analysis of existing data and literature searches using Google Scholar and OARE database as the methodology. A systematic review of the existing studies on climate change and collaborative roles played by public health educators and librarians in building climate change resilience was made. This study highlighted collaborative strategies between libraries and health educators, which includes community-based climate programmes, resource sharing and digital literacy initiatives, public outreach, emergency preparedness and policy advocacy to promote climate resilience. This study recommends partnerships between health educators, librarians and community stakeholders to enhance educational interventions, promoting community sustainability and resilience.
