Health information drives patient care and other components of healthcare system. Health Information Management Professionals (HIMPs) care for patient by caring for their health information to ensure quality, integrity and security of health information. The state of mental health of HIMPs is crucial in the management of health information. Poor state of mental health is linked to climate change and may effect productivity at work. Poor management of health information evident by non-availability and lack of access to information is impacting on healthcare and the poor states of HIMPs mental health could have effect on their job performance. HIMPs may not have adequate knowledge of climate change impacted mental health and the effected on job productivity. This study adopted the descriptive cross-sectional survey design, data was collected from 592 HIMPs using a google form in WhatsApp, analysis was done using descriptive statistics. Result indicated that most (86.5%) of HIMPs lack knowledge of climate change and the impact on mental health. Mental health is an important factor in job performance, therefore, HIMPs should be educated on climate change and the effect on mental health.
