Dr (Mrs) Alice A. Bamigbola is a Lecturer in the Department of School Library and Media Technology, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Administration from The Polytechnic, Ibadan (1987), Master in Personnel Psychology from University of Ibadan (2000), Diploma in Librarianship (2003), Bachelor of Library and Information Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan (2007), Master in Library and Information Science from Oslo University College, Norway (2010) and Ph.D. degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in 2018.

Dr Bamigbola teaches and supervises postgraduate students in the Department of School Library and Media Technology, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. She is the Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator, Postgraduate Seminar Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator. She has served in some committees at the Department, Faculty and University levels, such as Faculty Gown and Town, and Research, Training and Development Committee of the University Library.

Her research interests are digital repositories and libraries, information and knowledge management, emerging technologies in libraries and learning, media and information literacies and School libraries. She has attended and presented papers in many local and international conferences and workshops. Dr Bamigbola has published articles and chapters in books in Nigeria and other countries. She is a reviewer for some journals such as Digital Library Perspective, Information Development, Current Trends in Information Communication Technology Research and Journal of Nigerian School Library Association.

Dr Bamigbola is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN), member of the: Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Nigerian School Library Association (NSLA), Nigerian Association of Library and Information Science Educators (NALISE), Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), United Kingdom, and International Association of School Libraries (IASL). Dr Bamigbola is the coordinator of a community service programme “Reading on Air” a ‘catch them young’ reading programme that inculcates  reading habit in young ones. Dr Bamigbola is an Erasmus Mundus Scholar.
