Demographics factors are personal characteristics of the postgraduate students such as age, gender, level of income, marital status are major factors affects the information behaviour of postgraduate students. The study focused on influence of demographic variable on information seeking behaviour of postgraduate students in the faculty of education, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Descriptive research was used for the study and questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The population of the study comprised 1,444 postgraduate students from Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan. The simple random sampling technique was used and a sampling fraction of 20% was used to select 291 postgraduate students. A questionnaire was used to collect data and the data was analysed using simple frequency tables and correlation. The findings revealed that majority of the respondents were in the age range of 25-29 years, were females and Christians. Respondents in the middle cadre of income react more to the information they get and also may not have the resource they need to get all the information they may need at the moment. Demographic factors had a positive correlation with information behaviour (r= .145**; df = 290; p < 0.05). The study established that demographic factors determined the information behaviour of the postgraduate students.
